Bim/BOD interacts with diverse members in the prosurvival Bcl-2 subfamily including Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, and Bcl-w. Bim/BOD induces apoptosis. The messenger RNA of Bim is ubiquitously expressed in multiple tissues and cell lines.
