Description
Rat monoclonal antibody to ATP-Binding Cassette, Sub-Family A, Member 1 (ABCA1, clone 3A1.891.3)
Clonality
Monoclonal
Form
Ascitic fluid
Raised In
Rat
Immunogen
An A1-N3 peptide (within residues 200-250) of the mouse ABCA1 protein covalently linked to chicken egg albumin by means of glutaraldehyde
Clone
3A1.891.3
Isotype
IgG1 / Kappa
Specificity
Monoclonal antibody reacts specifically with mouse ABCA1
Cross reactions
It does not cross react with human protein
Applications
This antibody may be used for Western analysis, where a band is seen at ~250 kDa.
This antibody does not appear to work in FACS analysis. ABCA1 is known to aggregate. Do not boil samples. Use a reducing buffer (2X sample buffer), 8M Urea, 2% SDS, 715 mM BME, 1% glycerol, 0.001% Bromophenol Blue, 125 mM Tris-HCl [pH 6.8].
